It sounded to me like what the title suggests... one oscillator and maybe
a space echo (or any tape echo) that is overdriven at the input. It seems
like the dry output was plugged into one stereo channel and the echo
output into the other. The echo is not fed back on itself, so it is just
the other channel delayed. There is not a lot of peircing high end and
this was likely rejuvenated from a 2track 7" reel (what else would they be
using in 1974 (the date on the record)). Lots of continuous hand-twisting
of the oscillator coarse-tune knob. That is about all I heard on it and I
skipped through at the quiet record shop. I'd reccommend most of the
SAhko back-catalogue over this Gilbert/West record, though I am quite a
Gilbert/Wire fan (saw them live in '86, bought MZUI, 3R4, Dome 1-4,
Shivering Man records new)

Wouldn't trade The Shivering Man vinyl for any Skam except maybe 006 Jega
if I lost mine.
