i think your friend wasn't the first, unless he made the shirt i found 
at a thrift shop: "nobody knows I'm new wave"

i used to work the night shift at a gas station and when I wore that
shirt all the drunks would say "HEEEY, how ya doing, 'NEW WAVE?' _I_ know
you're NEW WAVE! <gurgle>"

I finally learned to stop telling people stuff with a shirt and I'm
working on that vocalization thing...


speaking of shirts, anyone know of a cheap place that makes custom 
iron-ons or whatever t-shirt technology has advanced to nowadays?  i like
their simple but realistic appearance, as opposed to the computer-designed
stuff (similar to what one might see in a mall)...
