This coming Saturday night/Sunday morning brings with it another Wild Kingdom. The playlist for last time is at http://www.kfjc.org/music/playlist.php?i=29457 . I've been sitting on a stash of(40) 12"s I picked up on E-pay - a real lot of odds and sods, no doubt from some record store purging its bins of some of the non-movers (the price was right, so who was I to complain?). Predictably, some of them are poopie or not really my style, but some are pretty good (some really stormin', in fact), so starting this edition, I'm working a few into my set. There are lots of labels and players I never heard of before, or haven't had a chance to sample just yet. No hints this time, just tune in and take a listen - after all, the only thing you need to pay is your attention... "The Wild Kingdom" airs on KFJC-FM 89.7, Saturday night/Sunday Morning, 12A-3A (7A-10A GMT). The webcast is at www.kfjc.org (follow the links). Present and past Wild Kingdom playlists are also archived there. You can also check out archived playlists from my first KFJC show "Just Desserts" that aired on Fridays 10P-2A from 1992 through 1999.
