Sorry to bother y'all about this, but I'm an arts editor at my school paper next semester, and I'm trying to get our writers all the music I can. Thus, I'm looking for any and all label contacts, both IDM and other (indie rock, experimental, whatever). yaleherald.com/archive if you're interested in checking us out. We have some damn good cartoons as well (Remember the name Matt Wiegle. Boy is going places). Any good sources online? Any databases you suddenly feel generous with? Does anyone still have the message posted to IDM in the fall which had bounced and was forwarded by Aran, the one with about 60 different labels? I'll go to the archives, but I don't remember the date. Reply off-list so as not to disturb the huddled masses. And Run Lola Run's music, whle entirely fitting for the movie, would be the kind of thing that would drive me bonkers if I tried to listen at home. It seemed like repetitive, almost bludgeoning Euro-techno (strong germanic edge), with awful awful awful vocals. It seems like the kind of thing the beautiful tourists buy along with their Oakenfeld. Sorry to disturb... SAM!!! Yale Herald A&E c/o Sam Frank PO Box 202049 New Haven CT 06520-2049 Ernest: But what is the difference between literature and journalism? Gilbert: Oh! journalism is unreadable, and literature is not read. That is all. ---Oscar Wilde 'Hath a dog money?' the answer must be that it does not. ---William Gaddis
