While I know that the point of reviews is to help sell records (or to warn people not to buy something in the case of negative reviews), I still find it odd to know that my opinions on things actually influence people. Even weirder was an experience yesterday when I was flipping through some stuff at Tower and found a release by a local indie artist called Automatic Fats that had an excerpt from my review of the album printed on a sticker. With my name and everything. And then there's the occassional press bio I get that has an excerpt from a review I wrote for the artists previous release. At least I haven't been misquoted yet. I'm just waiting for the day when I write something like "The utter suckiness of this album is truly outstanding!", only to see it quoted as "...this album is truly outstanding!". :) Greg
