Many folks were seriously pissed off. Writing about them to this list still make me uncomfortable. I miss them a lot. Some artists (Ae for example) seem to ceaselessly generate new releases. The Hartnolls seem to take the 1 album/(no singles)/3 years vacation in the south of France approach. Oh well. At this point Orbital have joined a small but growing list of artists whose next great album will probably be made my someone else. I mean the next Global Communication release...if its a whole new sound, well, how will it ever take us to those places to which 76:14 transported us? If GC decides to pillage its own vaults, we'll have a historical curiosity. I know this is more about how _I've_ changed than GC. (You know: "You can never go home again," or "You can't step in the same river twice.") The thing about UFOrb/76:14/Woob 1 is that, (for me at least) they were new, surprising AND good. (Actually, many of my favourite releases also start out being a little bit scary, the first time I heard UFOrb, a dj was playing the whole album through and I had to turn it off cuz it was freaking me out.) Chuckle if you must. Here's my list of artists I miss. Any suggestions as to whom I should look for a replacement fix are appreciated. 1. Orbital 2. Woob (no, Journeyman is not the same) 3.
