I have two points for newbies discovering Autechre: 1. My first album was Tri Repetae. I have since bought a lot of the aforementioned cd's, but this double cd still remains my favorite. I think it helped me to appreciate their unique approach more than if I had started with another one. 2. I was unmoved the first couple of listens. But my third listen (first through headphones) really blew me away. Don't toss it until you've listened a few times. I don't know if it grows on you, or the chaotic layers start to come together or what, but once you get hooked, you become another Ae fan like all the rest....
