after listening to the original DR OCTAGON release, _intrumentalyst_ caused
me to
cry out with joy. it was as if someone had finally told keith to s h u t -
u p and
he listened. i cannot agree that "nearly all of q-bert's scratching was
removed".
keep in mind that _intrumentalyst_ has a slightly different track list.
there are
the same number of tracks with scratches, minus the remixes . . . that are
only on
the original release. in addition, the extended version of _bear_witness_
may not
have the same scratching complexity but the turntable skills q-bert
displays prove
his 6th sense. q-bert still gets good representation on _intrumentalyst_
and it is
more noticeable without the droning lyrical disfunction of kool keith.
