I have a heartwarming and heartbreaking tale to tell on this subject:

When I was 16 I worked at a bar&grill called the Kozy Inn to make money
for my first trip to London. I bussed tables. That year the two biggest
songs for the rednecks that came to the Kozy were "Sundown" by Gordon
Lightfoot and "Seasons In the Sun." Over a 6 month period I heard those
songs at least 10 times an evening until I was ready to scream each time
they came on.

Fast Forward 25 years -- I'm in the Goodwill digging in the bins and
lo and behold, there's a copy of the Terry Jacks LP with "seasons in the
sun" on it. For reasons I'll never know, I passed on it and it was gone
next time I came in.

THEN I happened to hear it again on the radio, and I'd forgotten that it
has a dope bassline in the first 4 seconds of the track, and I've been
kicking myself ever since. So if anyone finds a copy of that LP by Terry
Jacks, I'm paying top dollar!
