Paul Haslinger's new album "Score" is excellent. It blends ethnic music, trip-hop and odd pop into a seamless cinematic soundscape. Brian Williams (Lustmord) shares production duties. "Fourth world" music at its finest. Its supposed to be out in a week or two so investigate it. Also of note is Sly and Robbie's "Drum and Bass Strip to the Bone by Howie B." Tweaked dub rhythms with plenty of tricky production work by Howie B. Its neither goofy nor lazy dub; its just smooth and strange. There is no "jungle/drum and bass" as the title sort of mischievously suggests but its still good. Look for in late January.
