PsonicPfistpfuck was definately a highlight for me too (substance P and davros)... chaotic drum beats and driving basslines ...check out http://i.am/hotf for any info on Substance P releases... Richard fucking Devine. fucking amazing. he started out with this little frequency box and just made random sounds..moved into his laptop and let the rhythms begin.. fucking great. the highlight of my weekend. DJ Scud was pretty good too... mixed everything from DHR.Limited material to noise remixes of old school ragga tunes.. fucking great.. the rave kids hated it though =) (also got to see some guy pissing in his hand and drinking it behind scud..very interesting) saturday bode less well for my tired ass. the endpoint recordings artists out of chicago were in full effect: .diminish (look for their release coming out in a few months..plus the compilation track).. amazing idm material, CNS Engineering.. really happy and melodic. then bogdan. the music is fucking amazing. heard some tracks off of Samurai Math Beats.. soem new ones that I havent heard.. only dissappointment is that he pushed play and let the track go. Live PA != prerecorded material played over again anyways the music was fucking amazing. i want more. now. My tired ass fell asleep in a lawn chair so i missed out on PBO. =( Props to the Drop Bass Network, History of the Future, and Struggle Inc. for putting this together. Definatley pushing the limits of sound. for more info on any of these groups check out http://www.dropbass.net ; http://i.am.hotf ; http://www.struggleinc.com These three groups long with Endpoint Records http://www.dusttraxx.com/end/index.html ; and the /bin shows http://www.enteract.com/~egoiste are the future of the midwest IDM scene. -miked ps. anyone pick up the Struggle Inc 001 by Modulator (aka Freddie Fresh)? whatcha think?
