Are you referring to the vintage 1979-1980 Prophet 5, Rev 2, based on = the SSM chip set? Those are something like 4k for 5 voices. Only 1,117 = of these were made before production changed to the Rev 3, of which = about 5,900 were made. No, I guess it's not your fault that Dave Smith decided to give the new = synth a somewhat confusing name. The $2K "Prophet Rev 2" with 16 voices = is a long way from the "Prophet 5, Rev 2" with 5 voices and completely = different circuits. Anyway, the vintage 1979 synths are not very reliable, and it would = probably be quite difficult to be limited to 5 voices these days.
