Well, hate is a strong word, but I'm definately not a fan. It seems to be a
hype machine out of control, but then again the only drum and bass I enjoy
at all is the 'avant-guarde' stuff like Amon Tobin and Journeyman who arent
locked into doing it every track for the sake of it. To me (and my probably
ignorant views on the genre), alot of the drum and bass artists sound like
house without the droll 4/4 kick. I'm not dissing the whole scene, and
while I've checked out both Platinum Breaks and some DJ Die and Peshay, I
don't consider myself qualified to pass judgement either way, but I agree,
Roni Size (and Goldie for that matter, since they seem to be the Monsters
of Jungle right now) is boring.
