For all of those w/o prior engagements/social misfits... Stapple (RKK staple Blitter vs. cohort Waffle). Are performing tonight in New Haven, CT. This is a radio and internet broadcasted show. If you are in the New Haven area, it will be broadcast on 98.1 WQAQ FM, and if not, it will be broadcasted from this site: http://www.netspace.org/crudites/spaces/stapple/ The show begins at 11pm EST on Saturday, October 24th and will continue until 2am on Sunday. To listen you'll need the RealPlayer. Any version'll do. While listening or waiting head over to the chat room and post your comments. about the show: Stapple will be performing an installation entitled 'breadboard 1', which is a prepared system of tone modules and layers on top of them. One performer creates the tones while the other layers the original tone using time-delay based effects. Once the tone is in a steady-state, it is chopped up and sequenced real time into a different order. This output tone gets moved back through the audio stream to another iteration as a 'tone.' Possible tone sources for this particular show will be: Radio broadcast material (CDs, records, announcements), 'Traditional' instruments, Percussive / Ambient sounds. I can't recommend tuning in to this one enough. Blitter's 7" on Reckankreuzungsklankewerkzeuge will be released imminently. The guy's a genius.
