well, also from the east, there's the entire wordsound gang. the comp,
_shake the nations_, WSCD023, is really good, with one track from each one
of their releases. not all hiphop, some dub and jungle sneak in, but it's
all intertwined. also on wordsound is the last prince paul lp -
_...presents psychoanalysis_. a damned fine record, provided you "get the
joke".
also very good are the last poets. way old skool, and very intelligent. if
i remember correctly, their '95 album was incredible.
