Yes, I did play that Thomas Koner on a MAJOR sound system - my husband's home-built speakers ::: 2x6" bass mid-range units with 200 watt tweeters (special high qualitiy ones) - these high frequency drivers are crossed over at 3 kHz, the woofers are rolled off below 120 Hz where the subwoofers come in. They consist of 2x12" drivers summed to mono, mounted in the side of the box, powered by a 250 Watt RMS amp, crossed over from 120 downwards. The system goes down to about 13/14 Hz (measured and confirmed). The phono pre-amp uses laboratory quality Burr-Brown circuitry and has a response up to 32 kHz. In a direct comparison we synchronised the vinyl & CD versions of Luke Slater's Planetary Assault System's Electric Funk Machine. There was an *immense* difference between the CD and the vinyl. The vinyl sounding much wider and transparent. However, when we used the NAD phono pre-amp, the difference was much less apparent. Which proves that a really high quality phono pre-amp makes a vital difference to sonic quality. The Sub's, Woofer and Tweeter are in one cabinet, with the sub- woofer mounted in the side of the cab, which is trianguar shaped, and the woofer and tweeter face forward and are time aligned, ie. their coils are on the same plane. These two are powered by my trusty NAD amplifier and there is a sub-control built into the back of the box to set how much bottom end is required. They are about 1 meter high and are floor-standing. THEY KICK. [All this was built and put together by Tully, who is a sound engineers and owns a recording studio and dictated the specs to me. Coz personally I wouldn't have a clue :-) ] But I can confirm that the sound coming out of them is awesome and the vinyl sounds better every time. I *
