Ok, agreed, a musician should put more effort into making music out of the
gear he/she has rather than focusing on getting the most technically
advanced stuff out there... my question is, for someone who wants to start
laying down beats and tracks, what's the basic gear to start with(?), being
as specific as possible (price range $1000-$1500)?...gear that is still
"professional" in all aspects? this would be a really big help to me...

Thanks in Advance,
Stephen Blackpool.
