For the record I agree with what you have said here. I have listened 
to the records in question a number of times and there is certainly 
an element of growing to like them more with each listen. I like the 
records. I don't think they're crap. I never said that I did. When I 
said I thought they showed promise I was perhaps not giving them the 
credit they deserve. Having said this I agree with the opinion 
expressed by someone before that an album constructed from the best 
parts of the two records - now there's an album!

Agreed. The balls came into play because the enormous extent of gulf 
between the said performance and recorded material.
