Strange you say that today. First let me say : yes, I agree and the
song is goosebumpy gorgeous.

Last night we were blowing some hot air around the lounge - make
that a 4-speaker 1000 Watt system kicking out Cari Lekebusch
with full intent and some moving moments with Two Lone
Swordsmen. Then Tully suggested hearing some vocals and out
came "Teardrop" - and *gasp*, what a surprise the soupy sound
was. It's a really down, dark, narrow and almost lo-fi mix - the
whole of Mezzanine (import copy). Obviously they wanted it that
way - but compared to everything else we were playing last night -
and we were playing loud and long - the mix lacked openness and
width.

Still an excellent album though. And another essential M/A would
be Blue Lines, imo.
