this is my last word on this crap. it has nothing to do with idm, so feel
free to delete it. my apologies to those not interested in this thread.

social commentary, my ass. ;P

um, i think he was talking about cutting his ex-wife's throat. so unless
he was talking about impressing his former SO with his 'razor sharp'
rhymes, he's basically saying 'fuck you, bitch, i'm cutting your throat
for leaving me'

glorification of violence against women or just well-honed lyrical skills?
you decide.

you're comparing apples and oranges.

RATM's "music" is about political content. your average RATM concert
attendee is likely to fall in a higher tax bracket than most. it seems to
me the "music" is shit if the message is hypocritical.

AT isn't trying to get across a political message. or if he is, it is
somewhere along the lines of legalizing any and every controlled substance
known to man, or at least it should be. <g> people going to an aphex show
aren't spewing trotsky one-liners at each other whilst drinking budweisers
and smoking marlboros, and wondering whether daddy will lend them the
credit card when they go to jamaica next week. if they are, please
introduce them to me so I can tag along.
