mark (and, well, everybody else)-

if you like that ilpo 20' to 2000 disc, i strongly recommend the first in
that series by komet. while i enjoy both, komet's carries a slight edge for
me. it's cleaner and more clinical, and so slightly less panasonic-y, but
still quite similar.

also, i just got my hands on a copy of the 12k label's ".aiff" compilation
(there's a preview of this up at andrew duke's site), which is in a similar
vein. in particular, a track by a young artist dan bell, under the name
Shuttle358, is *very* impressive. computer ambient, quite affecting but
with a strong, subtle experimentalism in the details. 12k's next release is
a full-length by dan, and i very much look forward to hearing that.
