OK, so it was from a much earlier post, but just to totally clear up the
"Come Out" thing, the sample ("I had to, like, open the bruise up and
let the bruise blood come out and show them") is from the earliest Steve
Reich tape loop composition, "Come Out". It's of a young black man who
was beaten and is explaining what he had to do to prove it, or
something. The preacher sample is from "It's Gonna Rain", a slightly
later tape loop composition, of the rantings of a street preacher.

I have always been very impressed by UNKLE's inclusion of that sample in
the Tortoise remix, because for all that Tortoise play down the
minimalist aspect, it's clearly an influence on their work, and
particularly Steve Reich's music is. Can't wait to hear the remix album!
Can anyone post a tracklisting? <-PS, if one's already been posted,
DON'T bother reposting, as I'm slowly getting through all the old stuff.

Peter.
