RE: (idm) coil recommendation

just yesterday i was thinking to myself that coil is an artist that
should be more oft discussed on idm. anyways, i'm not that big of a fan
of the snow 12". haven't listened to it in a while, but i thought it
was pretty dull & uninspired. the coil i would reccommend:

unnatural history ii - a good mix of spooky ambience & beat oriented
pieces. nothing too challenging but there are some wonderful mood
pieces

coil presents black light district - basically an entirley ambient work.
great sleeping music, it feels like it should be the soundtrack to a hot
sleepless night

people into industrial muzak always seem to recommend horse rotorvator,
but i've never gotten around to listening to it. anyone here have any
opinions? oh, and tainted love may be kitsch, but its still cool...

ethan

ps - i've noticed a lot of folks that say their appreication of idm grew
out of industrial music - does anyone feel like the opposite is true
(growing into industrial-oriented music from idm)? if so, what were
your transitional pieces?
