I bought the pair of CD's because they were only $16, and the US release
was some time off. So I paid an extra $4 for a few weeks of listening
pleasure.

Keep in mind that in order to be considered a single for the purpose of
the record charts in the UK, it has to be less than 30 minutes of music.
The famous case being 'The Blue Room' by the Orb, which was one track,
a few seconds shy of a half hour.

One thing to remember when buying UK imports is that the reimbursement
system is different in the UK as well, and artists often get paid more,
in a more timely manner in the US.

Actually standard procedure in the US is to advance artists the money
to make a recording, and then cook the books so that it looks as though
the record never made enough money to pay the artist more than the advance.
It can happen that an artist may have a hit record, yet end up owing
the record label money.
