Ideal distribution have compiled a CD to give away at the upcoming MIDEM show featuring short tracks from labels which use Ideal to distribute their music, Skam being one. The new artist is called Land - not heard the track yet, its supposed to be quite abrasive and will probably come out in the future on Skam (ie. is not exclusive to this comp). Other artists on the comp - James Ruskin, Surgeon, Ampoule label (Lucky and Easy?), Tom Churchill, Dan Curtin, the Scopex label and many others (possibly Morgan Geist?, the 20:20 Vision guys, etc.). I think James and Tony (Surgeon) have supplied short DJ mix sets of records on their own labels. The CDs are *not* for general sale - they will all be given away at MIDEM so don't ring them up to try and get one. Theres a new Ampoule 12" imminent, this time on a more Basic Channel sounding tip.
