1. plaid - not for threes (my favorite CD ever. true pioneers.) 2. Mouse on Mars - Autoditacker 3. Aphex Twin - Come To Daddy 4. jiri.ceiver - jig, amble & lisp (is he overlooked, or does nobody like him?) 5. Vapourspace - Sweep (this would have come in higher, but track 4 destroys the flow, which is very important when almost every track has only one or two notes with filter sweeps. Nobody does it better, or at all, thinks I.) Special mention: Recoil - Unsound Methods This is the biggest piece of capital D Doo-Doo I have ever heard. I will not listen to it a second time, even at gunpoint, well, maybe at gunpoint. Embarassing, trite, stupid, a 105% waste. I expected something half listenable after his last couple of efforts. This "sucks", to use the industry lingo. Hey, wanna buy my copy? I will stop short of saying Alan Wilder's near-death experience (almost hit by a plane that fell out of the sky) was not near enough, since that would be unkind. There used to be a dictum here that one should not criticize a work unless she or he could do better. Well, your three-year-old nephew could do better with two popsicle sticks and an egg carton. (That's how I recorded my own superior version of IZ-US, BTW.) Take care. Mr. Gil xxx@xxxxx.xxx (L-zero-P-H-T) No authority is self-justified. Resist.
