I haven't used a Tubescreamer, so I don't know if it sounds like that. I'm sorry to tell you this, but the correct number of overdrive/distortion pedals to have is N+1, N being the number of pedals you already have. But seriously, until you're using it yourself, you won't know what you like= . You can get a Tubescreamer cheap, or you can build your own TS-808 or HM-2 clone with a kit from aionelectronics.com - the kits are excellent, better than any I've built before.
