Squarepusher does not equal Jega
Jega does not equal Squarepusher______Repeat after me.
How many electro tinged tracks do you hear on Squarepusher's albums??? I
can't remember any, can you? Dylan's sound (and TJs) is bloody original
enough to stand on its own. shift. To me Intron.ix is incredibly effective
hard drum'n'bass::That Dune sample owns me...and when that hard break
hits....you better watch your timid ass! Madness! shift. miss trinitron,
I'm sure you realize this but I'll remind you anyway because, hey, we're all
friends here :]--> not every producer chooses to use 'production
values'::::is v/vm's output shitty because it sounds murky and whacked out?
NO! because that's what they want it to sound like... shift. Fuck
grooverider and his sony money--most 'top' djs wouldn't play the 'pusher let
alone Jega. shift. Realize that this is Jega's FIRST album, following two
eps....how many artists out there produce a perfect album the first try??
Hell, this album isn't even in my all-time top ten, but it definitely made
my top five from last year. Easily some of the freshest tunes in a while,
drill'n'bass included....I think my tender spot's healing now.... Please
understand that I can give a fuck if you don't like Jega, but hell he ain't
exactly making shite, fluffy r'n'b either is he? Peepz gotta lay off some.
**If you see the noton millenium cd's anywhere, swallow the price, eat light
for a week, and buy the mofo's....worth every penny. Note: my opinion
generated solely upon purchase of the glourious premiere, Komet; however,
knowing that Vaisanen's up next you shoudn't worry about the quality dipping
at all. Fine-ly, the cd sure looks purdy all clear on the outer half,
like.**
+ a final gripe:: there are too many people on this list ready to ask
questions before they even look for answers on their own....DIY, novel
concept that. Cheers.
@nd.
np. ancient turntable feedback.
p.s. I too bow to the Teknomajikal tower::LSP-LSD forever!! BTW, this
album's very 'un-dub' which in no way makes it less spliff-friendly. trust
me.
