I can see where aphex/rephlex are coming from with this list, the scene has progressed since then tho unfortunately, and trax like these aren't being made anymore, that's the simple fact. It's like on the Rephlex web pages where they used to have a section saying about good clubs to go to in London, and there was something about after Knowledge at the SW1 club closed there wasn't really anything much worth going to. House nowadays is *nothing* like the house of back then...but the music we all listen to on this list is derived at least partly from the housesound of the 80s...The Knowledge club was about playing whatever was good techno....didn't have to have 303s didn't have to be 909s, just had to be good techno... -- Ben Coffer http://www.hybridgame.demon.co.uk/
