In the intermediate price range, the best thing around $1000 are Snells. I think Snell went out for home theater a while ago, but don't be scared away. Their speakers are crisp, tight, and detailed. Nice strong bass without being too boomy. If you like Paradigms, you should check out Snells. -Nils
