I got four copies of this promo cd sent to me.. contains 10 re/mixes
including the comeback of a once major player and soon to be again.

Here's a review of that particular track i sent to another mailing list
with some details such as his actual name omitted (it's not too hard to
work out)..

Just got sent the promo cd for The Black Dog's new single "Babylon" which
contains 10 mixes of the track, including one by Scourge of the Earth. His
remix is definitely the most out there and one of my favourites on the cd!
Begins with him declaring war and launching a few shells (literally) from
his Sonic warfare tanks. Ofra Haza sings mournfully and then we get the
covert radio messages and the d'n'b beat kicks in as we start the sonic
ride. A baby wails in the background as things become more frantic and I
find myself engrossed in his personal war.. maybe to win back some lost
time musically.

Very very good! I'm sure this remix will make the final release version of
Babylon. They aren't able to release all 10 re/mixes due to those stupid
bloody British single chart rules! (as far as i know?)

Overall the music is achingly beautiful with Ofra Haza's devine singing
making it more so.

Other remixers are by Scanner, Peter Lazonby (this one is for Orb fans,
soundwise!) and Jamac, Future Loop Foundation and Terminalhead all putting
in D'n'B remixes.

Cheers,

John
