>check this shit out U-ZIQ:Astralwerks, in association with N2K and Music Boulevard, will >launch a web page that will allow 5-Ziq fans to choose the tracks for his >next EP. >On November 10, Astralwerks will put snippets of seven tracks (1 min, 30 >sec) up on our web site where fans will be allowed to choose 3 of 4 tracks >for the vinyl 12" and 5 of 6 tracks for the cd. N2K's Groove Lounge will >host a page that will link to the music tracks and allow visitors to their >site as well, making two sites available. Both pages will be open for >access and voting until January 1, 1998. At that time, all of the votes >will be tabulated and 5-Ziq will take the most popular tracks and create >the running order. By February 1, Astralwerks and N2K's Groove Lounge will >make this EP available for direct digital delivery, by downloading via >Music Boulevard, N2K's online music retailer. This direct delivery will >precede the EP's physical release on Astralwerks in early April 1998. This >release will be exclusive to Astralwerks. i think that is rather stupid. who would want to download an entire album, and they can't even play it anywhere but from their computer (unless they have a CD burner... but..)? i think paradinas should just choose himself now and then the release date won't be pushed into april.. and also i don't think that "U-Ziq will take the most popular tracks and create the running order"... perhaps someone at astralwerks will do the numbers instead? :) chris graves
