It was a great departure from the "let's project computer generated geometry in 3D and call it a video" trend that's been plaguing "Amp". Otherwise, the Spike Jonez directed "Electrobank" was OK at best. Definitely the best part of the video were the shots of the jealous bitchy blonde gymnast on the sidelines. > On the point about playing Techno in Olympics: it > isn't going to happen; not anytime soon, anyway. As for techno in the Olympics in *general* is a different story. 808 State did a song called "Olympic State" in 1990 commissioned for the next Winter Olympics? P.S. There was one skiier (sp?) from the last Winter Olympics who was asked about his favorite music, and he listed like 5 Meat Beat Manifesto albums, so go figure. =================================================================== Brian MacDonald <xxxxxx@xxxx.xxx> KUCI 88.9 fM in Irvine, CA -- Orange County *** WINDY & CARL, GRIMBLE GRUMBLE, and SPLINTER GROUP *** Tuesday, April 14th @ Metagallery in Santa Ana/ 8:30pm / ALL AGES! presented by Nightnoise Soundsystem and KUCI -- E-mail me for info ===================================================================
