Chris Graves: Colongib 1 (cassette demo) Wicked cassette of sixteen tracks ranging from the obscure to the melodic. I hate to make comparisons, especially with a demo, but... a lot of this reminds me of autechre. Now I don't mean that this is an ae rip off, but the experimentation with the um... odd sound, is quite similar. Opposed to ae, though, there is a lot more noise interlaced in the rhythm, similar to the v/vm stuff. A lot of breakbeaty/ dn'b stuff, many of which contain some massive distortion on top. A couple of the tracks start off with lots of noise blending seemlessly into breaks and such. Shades of video game soundtracks here and there. It also sounds like a few turntable experiments were thrown in for good measure. All i can say is wow.
