I wasn't much of a fan of the first one I'll admit, with only Storm 3000, Song of Life & Melt really doing it for me. This one is a bit more rounded. It's not particularly innovative I'll give you, but as a culmination of the last few years it's tops. There's bits which are like minimal techno, digi-dub, electro, ambience and hip hop, but obviously they're all Leftfield style. I think they might alienate a few of their trancier fans because there are a few bits where there's just drum and bass and not a lot else going on but if this doesn't bother you I'd go for it. Best tracks for me are Dusted, Afrika Shox, 6/8 War and El Cid but it's (so far) an album I can quite happily listen to from start to finish. np: Arab Strap - Elephant shoe
