A fine night out it was! Good old Cape Town is showing signs of seriously waking up. Started with supper at muso friends, who'd gotten wind of the Ninja team doing a preliminary 'behind the scenes' thingy - so we all set off at about 8:30 (it was to have begun at 6:30) and there was a notice at the club announcing a change of venue due to "lack of beer" :-) So all back in the car and to the Lounge, where *oh woe* we brushed shoulders with Kid Koala - the only face I recognised - and the rest of the Ninja crew coming down the stairs as we were going in. Too damn late !!! Met someone cluthing an autographed cover of Bricolage - grrrr ... Then off to a screening of MODULATIONS : far too short - I need to watch it another five times with a pause button. Which of the Ae's was the one picking his nose? Sanest moment of the movie must have been MixMaster Morris talking straight to camera about how FSOL 'are not very social; they even do their own gigs by telephone'. (sorry, loosely quoted but it was great). Looking forward to the Ninja tour this Saturday, although with CT's usual great planning, Carl Cox is here this weekend too. Although I should think he'll attract a different demographic. I * np : Sisters of Mercy - A Slight Case of Overbombing
