I DO know that while you can hear traces of what WO's style will become in it, I wouldn't go looking for that lush sonic pool which has become his trademark. As someone else remarked, they are slick dance-pop records with nice synth touches and percussive emphases. If you've heard the Bass-O-Matic lp, you have to go back a few steps from that to get to where the 1st Torch song is. If indeed it is true as someone said, hold onto your wallet and see if they get kicked out as re-releases. You're better off seeking out Bill's remixes (of which their are MANY) for getting that hi falutin' Orbit rush you're probably looking for. F'rinstance, ever heard some of his early Erasure mixes...like "Star" or "Supernature"?
