I read in the Chroma manual that the sweeping effect of slightly detuned dual VCOs can be simulated with a single VCO by enabling both ramp and pulse waveforms, then applying PWM. This prevents doubling up the channels and halving the polyphony. Not owning a Chroma, I tried this with my Memorymoog as it is the only synth in my arsenal that allows multiple waveforms from a single VCO. It only seems to work with the waveform levels at a certain level, which I had to achieve using another VCO with hard sync then varying the level independently of the other VCO. Even then, the sweeping effect is subtle compared to separate detuned VCOs. Yes I know it won't change the polyphony on the Memorymoog, I just wanted to try that trick. Is the sweeping effect more effective on the Chroma? Sent from my iInquiringMindsWannaKnow, MC
