i WILL NOT send them off list. dammit.

anyhow, assuming you've heard alec empire... there isn't much else that
resembles the din st 12"; patric catani's first DHR limited 12" is good, but
not as fucked up. hecate's _hate cats_ 12" (praxis?) is on a similar level
of brilliance, but it lacks the breaks-broken-into-atoms noisiness, opting
instead for a more coherent (although still quite chaotic and noisy) flow.

din st's work on the fever _too bad but true_ cd is quite good, more in a
hip-hop style; caveat: if you're not too into weird german rappers, you
might want to avoid. also din-related is the kut-up kaos kick/ultraflash
split 7" on zhark (he produced the ultraflash track - an amazing little
ditty composed of gameboy bleeps and weird grinding noise, lots of echo, fem
vocals) and the robotnics crossing _trigger happy_ 7" (betley welcomes
careful drivers) is just amazing, if you like raw no wave guitar/bass noise
over those carbonized beats. which i do, quite a lot.

speaking of distortion... am i the only one who thinks the somatic responses
_circumflex_ cd on hymen is the welsh fuckin' bomb? for those that don't
know - it's reminiscent of old rephlex (cylob's _ifs_/kinesthesia vol. 1+2)
with a little more hardcore distortion, some elements of advanced idm
ratcheting and nicely developing atmospheres.
