I'm one, though admittedly more of a lurker. I spotted the Rephlex night and planned to go, but I'm off to Fatboy Slim v Armand van Helden instead (I had a ticket for the night that was cancelled due to the first London nail- bomb). I was at the Scala on Saturday night for Sonic Mook Experiment: main attraction was the Freestylers playing live. The venue is very impressive, though it was a shame they couldn't sell alcohol after 2am :-) Freestylers were good: more live than their appearance at the Ministry of Sound for the FSUK3 launch, lots of real bass and guitar, and energy too; they played 3 new tracks too. > On a related note, anyone else heard the > new Bogdan Raczynski album, "Samurai Math Beats" > on Rephlex? I was surprised to find it 2nd-hand or ex-promo about a week ago as I hadn't even heard mention of it on this list (now my primary source for news of new releases). I quite like it, possibly more so than "Boku...", and I think the vocals/lyrics are better than "Milkman" -- especially the line "<mumble> massive, let's work those buttocks with some mathematics". Also picked up "Ischemic Folks", which is fantastic; "Objects for an ideal home", by Opiate (on April), very good and comes with a colour slide of the artist; and the new Art of Noise, which is crap (and would still be crap without the narration and operatic vocal). -- Richard
