the amem break is arguably the most used drum loop sample, across genres,
with the exception of perhaps Funky Drummer/James Brown stuff. Everyone, I
mean everyone has taken a stab at it: Luke Vibert, Tom Jenkinson,
Boymerang, the metalheadz crew, ATR, MuZiq (well I heard used live), Roni
Size, Archon II, and even 80's hip hoppers 3rd base...the list is
endless...

it's taken from the song Amen Brother by the Winstons. There are several
web pages about the infamous break if you do a search...

If you have Plug's drumnbass for papa record, the title track uses the
amen.
