[just a bit of advance notice] :) Cognition will be starting up this year's online auction in support of CKDU's Funding Drive 2000 in late November/ early December (so don't spend all your $ on presents/year end holidays! ;) Some of the companies (labels, stores, magazines, etc) set to be involved in this year's auction (donating prize packages, magazine subscriptions, on-a-label's-mailing-list-for-a-year subscriptions to be bidded on) will include (this is not a final list and some are tbc): Cytrax, Delay, The Mimic And The Model, Orthlorng Musork, Grooves, Shovel, Tone, Weekly Dig, Dan Sicko, Hydrant, Sprout, Tektite, Planet X, Nepenta, Pro-Jex, Invisible, Distance, Interdimensional Transmissions, Schematic, Blue Room, Freerange, Pagoda, Triebhafte, Lowlands, Background, A Touch Of Class, Tigerbeat6, Plug Research, Alternative Press, Solenoid, Benbecula, Shift, 12k, Emanate, URB, Angbase, Compost, VICE, Geophone, Woodwork, Chair, Warp, No Future, Loaded, Skint, Peace!, Ninja Tune, Ntone, Surface, Blueprint, Meta, TVT, Dropbeat, XLR8R, Mad Monkey, Nightwaves, Post Contemporary... Cognition's online auction last year was a success and the thanks goes to everyone on the lists who took part in the bidding. CKDU is a nonprofit college/community station based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and all the money raised through this auction on Cognition goes to CKDU for operating expenses. The auction will run from late november/early december to late december. I'll post a more complete list and info when the auction page goes online. Thanks.
