Funny, just last night I was thinking about Bernhard Gunter & Ralf Wehowsky... I'd definitely think they would fit the description. Funny thing about both of them -- I've always had trouble listening to them -- quite literally -- because I just can't hear them. My stereo's not good enough; once I turn the volume up high enough to hear what's on the CD, the hum from my system drowns it all out. I'm sure there's an irony there somewhere. (Carsten Nicolai tells a funny story about Francisco Lopez sending Bernhard Gunter a tape of some of his material... and Gunter calls him up and says, "But the tape is blank!!") So much for IDM humor. True story, though. As for Or, the only thing I've got is the new Shirt Trax, which features Mark Fell from snd, and is NOTHING like snd. Abstract hardly describes it. More like totally random and without organization. I haven't decided what I think yet; as of early listens, it may be total crap, or it could be genius (yes, i AM bipolar). Stay tuned! philip >Date: Thu, 30 Sep 1999 02:44:38 -0700 (PDT) >From: solenoid <xxxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxx.xxx> >Subject: Re: (idm) not quite music recommendations >Hmm, that is really interesting!
