I love the sound of stel guitars meshed with electronic ambient soundscapes, they really add personality. Here's some good suggestions: Adam Shakih & Tim Floyd - Drift - Instinct (the entire album is steel guitar ambience.) Robert Rich - Troubled Resting Place - Fathom (the actual album is a limited edition 3" cd called night sky replies, but it's been collected on this collection of tracks taken from various comps.
