I got the Godwin SC600 back here today. 100kg and enormous, but luckily = the seller had kindly gone out and bought some casters and made a = trolley which fitted it better than the one I had taken. So a tail-lift = van and a trolley were useful - in fact essential. (The other one I had = dealings with was trashed by an attempt to transport it in an unsuitable = vehicle and getting dropped.) Lots of it aren't working - the drum machine / accompaniment, the = well-specified arpeggiator, the bass pedals, and the solo synth voice. = Plus levels are all over the place. But it still sounds incredible. = The string sounds are great, touch sensitivity is good, basic organ = sounds are good, and its 'repeat percussion' has speed and sustain = sliders, so you can get effects quite similar to the CS-80 - though you = have to do it manually.=20 I'm definitely going to get the schematics and get it fixed when I get = the chance. Thanks Steve for the heads-up. If I hadn't collected it, it was on its = way to the tip the next day, the seller said. It looks fantastic and sounds pretty great too. = Hours of fun if you play it in a non-home-organ way. The Godwin looks = awful, but does sound superb (if it's working) - I reckon even better = than the Elka. I managed = to sneak one of those into my shed but would have been eviscerated if = I'd tried the same with the Godwin...
