Recently I saw a post somewhere or another from one Stuart McDonald in NZ, offering a cdr. I took the bait. I have to tell you, this is really nice stuff. Eclectic and not easy to pin down, but fun all the way around. I hear glimmers of the Swordsmen, Girl Eats Boy and a smidgin of RH Kirk informing his work. Sample heavy and beaty with enough quirks to make it interesting yet not so esoteric that you need to file it on the shelf after the initial spin. Nice hooks. I think Stuart was looking especially for people doing their own material to trade with, but I'm certain he'd sell cdrs for a very reasonable price. Also, if anyone is looking for this-listy musicians for a comp or a good addition to a label, you might want to check his stuff out. Here's his webpage http://www.vuw.ac.nz ..and here's his email xxxxxx@xxxx.xxx.xx.xx Tell him I said hello. jeff -- jeff dancing/about/architecture "...with wandering steps and slow..." ICQ904008
