yes. much in the same way that if you go out and shoot someone, you won't be
able to avoid jail by saying "i've never seen a written law that says you
can't shoot someone".

the physical record itself is your property. the songs on it are *not* your
property. the songs are owned by the people who wrote them. buying the record
does not give you the legal right to do anything with the songs on them but
listen to them or make personal copies for your self.
