I have to step out to agree AND disagree. The music selection is awesome but the mixing is SO poor it's hardly unlistenable. Same goes for the Carl Craig DJ Kicks Mix-great selection-shitty mixing. This actually brings up a question that I've been meaning to ask all you heads: How can a "big name" DJ get away with putting out a "mix" cd that completely utterly totally sucks? How can these dj's consciously place samples or other bits between tracks faded together and call it a mix? How can they mismatch beats? Wouldn't you expect someone who makes great music to know the difference between what sounds good and what is complete crap? I have witnessed some of my favorite producers DJ at parties and mix so poorly it's embarrassing. Any thoughts on this? Any similar observations? Shimone "Zenon M.
