(idm) Ae/BoC

people hype about them because they are putting out damn good stuff.
i truly think that Ae are at the creative forefront of IDM right now. i
mean, listen to all the bands that are copying them. and yet they
continue to evolve. look at their progress over the course of the last 3
albums and e.p.'s. its wonderful.
maybe where they are at now might not interest you, but you gotta
respect the fact that they are certainly evolving their own musical
aesthetic. and they are hardly, if at all, influenced by any other
groups out there.
i think there is an extreme subtlety and intensity and focus and quality
control that makes Ae and BoC so damn good. a lot of people miss that in
this music.
i strongly believe that ep7 and music has the right to children are by
far some of the best new albums to come out in awhile.
and that has nothing to do with who the band is or whatever label they
happen to be on. its damn good music.
thats just my opinion though.................

but of course people like to slag the people that are doing this music
well and have complete artistic freedom to do what they want to do. i
mean look at poor richard. but now i guess its hip to not be hip, or
cool to slam autechre.
