Frighteningly, chillingly, incredibly, it's now 10 years to the month (or thereabouts) since that track hit number 1 in the UK. 'Exclusive American Fashion' as the sleeve boasts... he he, yeah, if you say so.... straight outta Sheffield! Speaking of which.... "Lance C. Babel Fish - Light Dim Increase 2. Undertow - Subliminal Seducer 3. Sequoia - Big Like Dis 4. Hoodoo - Silence BREAKBUTT 5. Melting Pot - Adverse Reaction 6. Screwface - Hawai 7. Codebreaker - Stress 8. Phase Four - Injustice WHOLESOME 9. Tonka Toi - Lowest Common Denominator 10 DENK 10. Bouncing Bomb - Chance 11. Twinlock - Heave 12. I Monster - Night Of The Hunted Winston Hazel of Forgemasters is namechecked in the credits for Melting Pot's 'Adverse Reaction' - with its reggae bassiness and sliced up vocal sample it carries their hallmark. Also Twinlock's 'Heave' is surely a descendant of that clonking Sweet Exorcist sound. The let down track is Hoodoo's 'Silence' which sounds like cack old industrial guff. But a good comp nevertheless - if anyone's got the other one, let us know worrit's like. Ta, Damon.
